Release dates

The English set, Booster Pack Carrying On His Will, released on November 7, 2025. The Japanese version came out on August 23, 2025, so English players waited about 11 weeks. Bandai’s official OP-13 page has the full product details.

OP13 card list

The English set has 133+1 card types, one more than the Japanese version’s 132+1. Bandai does not explain the extra card. Counting every variant, the Limitless TCG database lists 175 cards in the English set.

The Japanese rarity breakdown gives a good idea of the structure: 6 Leaders, 26 Rares, 10 Super Rares, 3 Secret Rares, 10 Specials and 2 3rd Anniversary Specials, plus Commons and Uncommons.

Leaders

The OP13 card list includes six Leader cards:

  • Monkey.D.Luffy (001)
  • Portgas.D.Ace (002)
  • Gol.D.Roger (003), his first Leader card
  • Sabo (004)
  • Imu (079)
  • Jewelry Bonney (100)

Having a Leader for each of the Three Brothers makes the set a favourite for players who want to build around their favourite brother.

Special cards

  • WANTED Edition: four WANTED-poster cards: OP09-118 Gol.D.Roger, plus Luffy, Ace and Sabo from this set.
  • Five Elders parallels: Nusjuro, Saturn, Ju Peter, Warcury and Mars. Japanese coverage credits the art to Gege Akutami, the creator of Jujutsu Kaisen.
  • Divine Departure: an Event alternate art in gold foil.
  • Character Edition: six new cards, including Ace, Lilith, Sabo, Benn.Beckman, Luffy and Smoker.

OP13 chase cards

Red Super Alt-Art Luffy

The top of the OP13 chase cards is the Monkey.D.Luffy Secret Rare (OP13-118). It comes as a Super Alt-Art (Manga Rare) and as a new Red Super Alt-Art, a red-toned manga treatment that only exists in this set. The red version tops price-ranked lists. A BGS 10 Black Label copy, one of only five known, was among the highest One Piece sales of 2026.

Ace and Sabo

Portgas.D.Ace (OP13-119) is a Secret Rare, and Bandai uses it as its example of the new Red Super Alt-Art. It also comes in Super Alt-Art and WANTED versions. Sabo (OP13-120) completes the brothers as a Secret Rare, with manga and WANTED versions; collector sites also list a red manga version.

Gold and Silver Shanks

Two 3rd Anniversary Special cards can be pulled from this set. Collector sites identify them as Gold and Silver background versions of Shanks (OP09-004), and both rank among the most valuable cards in the set. Shanks first appeared in OP-09 Emperors in the New World.

Five Elders and other alt arts

The Five Elders parallels are popular with collectors, and Nusjuro’s red alternate art makes some top-ten lists. Alt-art Leaders and the gold foil Divine Departure are also worth keeping safe.

What makes the Red Super Alt-Art special

Super Alt-Arts, often called Manga Rares, were already the top chase cards in most One Piece sets. They cover the whole card in black-and-white manga panels. OP-13 took the idea further with a red-toned version for the brothers’ Secret Rares, a treatment that had never appeared before.

Because the Red Super Alt-Arts exist only in this set, and only for a few cards, they quickly became the cards everyone wanted. They are the main reason the set’s top cards sell for so much, especially in high grades.

English vs Japanese OP-13

  • Card types: 133+1 in English, 132+1 in Japanese.
  • Pack size: 12 cards per English pack, 6 per Japanese pack (¥220 per pack in Japan).
  • Release: Japan on August 23, 2025, English on November 7, 2025.
  • Language: the cards are the same designs, with English or Japanese text.

Both versions are popular. Japanese collectors got the cards first, while English boxes have twice as many cards per pack.

The OP13 booster box

An English booster box usually holds 24 packs of 12 cards, while the Japanese box has 24 packs of 6 cards. Bandai also released Official Sleeves 12 with the set, and Japan had a Premium Bandai 3rd Anniversary Set and Treasure Campaign Packs.

Why OP-13 matters

Carrying On His Will is a milestone set. It celebrated three years of the game, brought the brothers together with their own Leaders and introduced a rarity that collectors had never seen before. It also gave Roger and Imu, two of the most important characters in the story, their first cards in key roles. For many fans, it is one of the most important sets in the game so far, and OP13 is a strong pick if you want one set that sums up the story of the brothers.

The anniversary format proved popular too: OP-17 followed it as the 4th-anniversary set, with its own special alternate arts.

How to complete the set

A full OP-13 collection is a big project. Start with the base set of Commons, Uncommons, Rares and Super Rares, then add the Leaders and their alternate arts. Next come the Secret Rares in each version (standard, Super Alt-Art, Red Super Alt-Art and WANTED), the Five Elders parallels, the Character Edition cards and the two anniversary Shanks.

Most collectors pick a focus instead, such as the three brothers in every version or just the Five Elders. A clear focus makes the OP13 card list much easier to work through, and it helps you decide when to buy singles instead of more packs.

Tips for collecting the set

  • Keep the three brothers’ Secret Rares together, in every version you can find.
  • Check every Special card: the Gold and Silver Shanks are among the most valuable pulls.
  • Sleeve the red versions straight away; they are the most valuable cards in the set.
  • Look out for errata: Bandai issued errata for cards 077 and 119, so check the latest text before playing them.
  • Build a WANTED page with all four WANTED-poster cards.
