Pokémon Perfect Order is the third main set of the Mega Evolution series, and it introduced four new Mega Evolution Pokémon ex to the card game. It also contains one of the most surprising chase cards of 2026: a Meowth ex that is both a competitive staple and the most valuable card in the set. Here is the full guide.

Pokémon Perfect Order release date and basics
Perfect Order released worldwide on March 27, 2026, after prerelease events from March 14 to 26. It is usually labeled ME03, with the card code POR, and it became legal in the Standard format on April 10, 2026, the same day older G regulation mark cards rotated out.
The featured Mega Evolution Pokémon ex, based on Pokémon Legends: Z-A, are Mega Zygarde ex, Mega Starmie ex, Mega Clefable ex and Mega Skarmory ex. All four made their card game debut here, according to the official Perfect Order announcement. The four booster pack designs show Mega Zygarde, Mega Clefable, Mega Starmie and Meowth.
At launch, spending $15 or more at participating stores earned a promo while supplies lasted: Gengar at GameStop, Luxray at Best Buy and Aurorus at Hot Topic and Barnes and Noble.
The Japanese version
In Japan, the cards first appeared in MEGA expansion pack Nihil Zero, also written Munikis Zero (M3), on January 23, 2026, with 117 cards. If you collect Japanese, see the Japanese Munikis Zero booster box.

Pokémon Perfect Order chase cards
Meowth ex special illustration rare
Meowth ex 121/088 is the top card by value. It is unusual for a non-legendary, non-Mega card to lead a set, but Meowth ex is also a popular card in competitive decks, so demand comes from players and collectors at the same time. The ultra rare version, 107/088, is a more affordable way to own it.
Mega Zygarde ex
Mega Zygarde ex 124/088 is the gold Mega Hyper Rare, and its Japanese version was the top card in Nihil Zero. The special illustration rare, 120/088, is the other must-have Zygarde. Zygarde fans can also pick up the Mega Zygarde ex Premium Collection.
The other special illustration rares
- Mega Clefable ex 119/088
- Mega Starmie ex 118/088
- Jacinthe 122/088
- Rosa’s Encouragement 123/088
Mega Clefable ex has a dedicated fan base too, and the Mega Moonlit Tin with Mega Clefable ex pairs nicely with it. For a cheaper chase, the Clefairy 094/088 illustration rare is a binder favorite.
Mega Starmie ex and Mega Skarmory ex
The other two new Mega ex are easy to overlook next to Zygarde and Clefable, but both have fans. Mega Starmie ex has its own special illustration rare and appears on one of the four booster pack designs, while Mega Skarmory ex gives Steel-type players a new attacker. If you are building a binder page of every new Mega ex from the set, these two complete it.

Perfect Order pull rates
There are no official odds. A community count of roughly 4,000 packs gave these estimates:
- Double rare: about 1 in 5 packs
- Illustration rare: about 1 in 9 packs
- Ultra rare: about 1 in 11 packs
- Special illustration rare: about 1 in 75 packs
- Mega Hyper Rare: about 1 in 1,250 packs
These figures are community estimates, not official odds, and they may be based partly on non-English packs.
Perfect Order Pokémon Center ETB vs the regular ETB
The regular Perfect Order Elite Trainer Box has 9 booster packs, a full-art foil Tyrunt promo, 65 sleeves, 40 Energy cards, a player’s guide, damage-counter dice, a coin-flip die, a plastic coin and a storage box with 6 dividers.
The Perfect Order Pokémon Center ETB adds 2 more packs, for 11 in total, and a second Tyrunt promo with the Pokémon Center logo. It is sold through Pokémon Center, so the regular box is easier to find.
Which Perfect Order product should you buy?
- Booster box: 36 packs and the best chance at special illustration rares.
- Elite Trainer Box: 9 packs, the Tyrunt promo and all the accessories you need to start playing.
- Booster bundle: 6 packs, the simplest way to try the set.
- Build and Battle Box: a 40-card deck and 4 packs, with a handful of exclusive cards.

Build and Battle Box and blister exclusives
The Build and Battle Box includes one of four 40-card decks and 4 booster packs, along with a small group of exclusive card versions (numbers 006, 041, 045, 086 and 087). The 3-pack blister includes a holo Gloom promo. Master set collectors should add both to their checklist.
How Perfect Order changed the Standard format
Perfect Order arrived at an important moment for players. It became legal on April 10, 2026, the same day that cards with the G regulation mark rotated out of Standard, so many decks had to be rebuilt at once. Meowth ex quickly became a staple because it helps players find the cards they need, and the four new Mega ex gave deck builders fresh options. That is a big reason the set’s Meowth ex cards are in demand from players as well as collectors.
Is Perfect Order worth collecting?
Perfect Order is a strong set for both players and collectors. Players get Meowth ex and four new Mega ex, and collectors get a gold Zygarde and six attractive special illustration rares. The set is small enough that a booster box gets you a long way toward completing the main set.
The trickiest part is the top end. With special illustration rares at roughly one in 75 packs, most collectors trade or buy singles to finish the secret rares. If you want one specific Perfect Order Pokémon card, buying the single is usually cheaper than opening sealed product.
Tips for opening and storing
- Sleeve Meowth ex straight away, because it is both valuable and playable.
- Keep track of the 36 secret cards with a checklist to make trading easier.
- Store sealed boxes upright, in a cool, dry room away from sunlight.
