Delta Reign release date
The Delta Reign release date is November 6, 2026, worldwide. Prerelease events at Play! Pokémon stores began on October 24, so many players have already opened their first packs and built decks with the new cards. The set arrives on Pokémon TCG Live one day early, on November 5.
Pokémon Center pre-orders went fast: the first wave sold out quickly, according to ICv2’s report on the set. If you want sealed product in launch week, it is worth ordering from a store that already has stock confirmed.
The Build & Battle Box is the one product that came out early. It was available from October 24 through prerelease events at select stores, and it is the box most players open at a prerelease.

Delta Reign card list: how many cards?
Pokémon has confirmed that the set has over 135 cards. The exact numbering is not final until the cards are in hand: fan checklists still disagree about where the main set ends and the secret rares begin. What is official is the rarity breakdown announced with the set:
- 4 Mega Evolution Pokémon ex
- 6 other Pokémon ex
- 14 illustration rares
- 17 ultra rares
- 6 special illustration rares
Six special illustration rares is a smaller count than some recent sets. That makes each one a little easier to chase, and it puts more of the set’s value into those few cards.
The four Mega Evolution Pokémon ex
Mega Rayquaza ex is the mascot and appears on the pack art. It is joined by three other Megas: Mega Golurk ex, Mega Malamar ex and Mega Golisopod ex. Golurk and Golisopod both get special-art versions, while the Mega Malamar ex double rare is a good playable card to pick up early.
Legendary Stadiums: the new mechanic
The most unusual part of the set is a group of six Stadium cards that pair up into three Legendary Stadiums. Each card is one half of a combined artwork, so two cards placed side by side make one wide picture. Legendary Summit and Legendary Pyroduct are two of the pairs.
For collectors this adds a fun goal: finding both halves of each pair. For players, they are still Stadium cards that go in a deck like any other, so read the text on each half before you build around it.
Delta Reign chase cards
Like most sets, the value sits in a handful of cards. Here are the ones collectors are watching most closely.
Mega Rayquaza ex special illustration rare and Mega Hyper Rare
The Mega Rayquaza ex special illustration rare is expected to be the most valuable English card in the set, according to TCGplayer’s quick facts. The gold Mega Hyper Rare version of Mega Rayquaza ex is the other big hit. In Japan, the same card is already the most expensive card in Storm Emeralda, which tells you how strong demand is likely to be.
Rayquaza has a long history as a chase Pokémon in the TCG, so it is no surprise that it leads this set. If you only want one card from the release, this is probably it.
Other special-art cards to watch
The next tier is made up of special-art versions of four cards:
- Raikou ex
- Zinnia’s Trust, a Supporter featuring Zinnia, the character tied to Rayquaza in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire
- Mega Golisopod ex
- Mega Golurk ex
Trainer special illustration rares often hold their value well, so Zinnia’s Trust is one to watch if you collect character art.
Double rares worth keeping
Not every good card is a secret rare. Mega Malamar ex and Zoroark ex are both double rares, and they are worth keeping in sleeves for play or for a master set. The Legendary Stadium halves also belong in a binder, since a complete pair looks much better than a single half.

Delta Reign vs Storm Emeralda
The English set is based on the Japanese set Storm Emeralda (M6), which came out in Japan on July 31, 2026, with 113 cards (76 plus 37 secret rares). As usual, the English release is bigger, which is why its count goes past 135.
Because the Japanese set came out months earlier, its prices give a rough idea of which English cards will be in demand. That is how we know Mega Rayquaza ex is the card to beat. If you prefer Japanese packs, the Japanese Storm Emeralda booster box has the same Mega Rayquaza ex chase cards, or you can browse all of our Japanese Pokémon booster boxes.
Delta Reign products: which box should you buy?
There are several ways to open the set. The right one depends on whether you want packs, accessories or a deck.
Elite Trainer Box
The Delta Reign Elite Trainer Box has 9 booster packs, a Kyogre promo card, 65 card sleeves, 40 Energy cards, a player’s guide, 6 damage-counter dice, a coin-flip die, a plastic coin, a collector’s box with 6 dividers and a code card for Pokémon TCG Live. It is the best all-round choice if you want to play and store your cards.
Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box
The Pokémon Center version has the same contents plus 2 extra packs, for 11 in total, and its Kyogre promo carries the Pokémon Center logo. It is sold only through Pokémon Center, which is why the first pre-order wave went so quickly.
Booster Box
The Delta Reign booster box holds 36 packs of 10 cards each. It gives you the best chance at the special illustration rares and is the usual choice for collectors chasing the full set. See all our English Pokémon booster boxes.
Booster Bundle and Build & Battle Box
The Booster Bundle gives you 6 packs without the extras, which suits anyone who just wants to open. The Build & Battle Box includes a ready-made 40-card deck, 4 booster packs and 1 of 4 foil promos: Masquerain, Magmortar, Enamorus or Kommo-o. There are also blisters: a 3-pack blister with a Seel promo and a 1-pack blister with a Spritzee promo.

Pull rates
No reliable pull rates have been published yet, because the set has not released. Early estimates from small samples are not worth trusting. Pull rates usually appear a few weeks after release, once enough boxes have been opened to give real numbers.
Tips for release week
- Order sealed product early, as Pokémon Center stock sold out fast.
- Sleeve the Mega Rayquaza ex cards and special-art cards straight away.
- Keep both halves of each Legendary Stadium together.
- If you play, a Build & Battle Box is the simplest way to get a deck with the new cards.
