What is in a pack?

Each pack has 5 cards. Four slots come from a main pool of about 80 cards, and the fifth slot is a variant art card. According to Yugipedia, a pack contains:

  • 1 variant art card, in Ultra Rare or Starlight Rare.
  • 1 Super Rare.
  • 1 Secret Rare, with a 1 in 4 chance of being a Platinum Secret Rare or Starlight Rare.
  • 2 Ultra Rares, each with a 1 in 6 chance of being a Collector’s Rare or Ultimate Rare.

The seven rarities

Main-pool cards can appear as Super, Ultra, Secret, Platinum Secret, Starlight, Ultimate and Collector’s Rare. Konami says the Ultimate and Collector’s Rares are only found in Rarity Collection sets. Most main-pool cards come in all seven rarities, but some are limited: Tri-Horned Dragon is Starlight only, and Dominus Impulse only comes as a Platinum Secret, Ultimate or Collector’s Rare.

Yugioh Rarity Collection 5 card list highlights

Konami lists a set size of 152, while Yugipedia counts 150 cards (82 in the main pool plus 68 variant cards). Here are the highlights of the Rarity Collection 5 card list.

Main pool

Featured main-pool cards include Chaos Angel, Kashtira Fenrir, Number C104: Umbral Horror Masquerade and Mementoal Tecuhtlica – Combined Creation.

Extended art cards

For the first time in the TCG, the set has extended art cards, with artwork that stretches across the card. There are 10 in total, including Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon, Kurikara Divincarnate, Super Polymerization and Dominus Purge.

Variant arts and catchphrases

There are 58 variant art cards. Many add short messaging-style catchphrases in English or Japanese. Some variants also use a stamp-style artwork, including Dark Magician, Blue-Eyes White Dragon, Red-Eyes Black Dragon, the three Egyptian Gods, Raigeki, Monster Reborn, Pot of Avarice and Mystical Space Typhoon.

Starlight-only cards

A few cards only come as Starlight Rares, including Tri-Horned Dragon, Blue-Eyes Toon Dragon and Dark Sage. These are some of the hardest pulls in the set.

Chase cards

The hardest pulls are usually the Starlight Rares, including the Starlight-only classics and the Starlight versions of variant art cards. The 10 extended art cards are also popular, as they are a first for the TCG. For players, the Collector’s and Ultimate Rare versions of staples like Kashtira Fenrir are a premium way to upgrade a deck.

Note that Quarter Century Secret Rares are not part of this set, according to Konami’s product page.

Rarity Collection sets are different from normal boosters. Every card in a pack is Super Rare or better, and the cards are mostly popular, playable cards rather than new ones. That makes them a favourite with players who want to upgrade their decks with shiny versions of the cards they already use, and with collectors who love premium rarities.

Rarity Collection 5 adds two new reasons to open packs: the TCG’s first extended art cards and variant arts with fun catchphrases. Together with the seven rarities, that gives every pack plenty of chances for a great pull.

Tips for opening and collecting

  • Check every card’s rarity carefully; Platinum Secret, Starlight, Ultimate and Collector’s Rares can look similar at a glance.
  • Sleeve Starlight and extended art cards straight away.
  • Pick one favourite card and try to collect it in all seven rarities.
  • Keep variant art cards with catchphrases together; they make a fun binder page.

Yugioh Limit Over Collection: The Heroes

The Yugioh Limit Over Collection The Heroes is a separate, Japan-only OCG booster, released on February 28, 2026, according to Konami Japan. Each pack has 4 cards, and a box holds 15 packs.

It has 80 card types (38 Ultra Rares and 42 Super Rares), themed on the decks of the anime protagonists rather than the HERO archetype. It includes ace monsters and support cards for each protagonist, first-time OCG releases of anime cards, a new card for the Master Duel 4th anniversary and reprints with new chibi-style art.

Grand Master Rare and Overframe

  • Every card also comes in Secret and Prismatic Secret Rare.
  • 18 Ultra Rares get Overframe art, where the artwork breaks out of the frame.
  • The same 18 cards also come as the new Grand Master Rare, serial-numbered and limited to 100 copies each.
  • 21 Super Rares come in Ultimate and Collector’s Rare versions.

A companion set, Limit Over Collection The Rivals, followed on March 20, 2026. Limit Over Collection cards have Japanese text, so they are mainly for collectors rather than TCG play. See our Yu-Gi-Oh! Limit Over Collection box.
