Pokémon 30th anniversary pre-order tips
- Check the language: English and Japanese 30th Celebration products share a launch date but are different products.
- Compare pack counts: the Ultra-Premium Collections hold far more packs than the smaller boxes, so compare value per pack, not just price.
- Plan around the waves: spreading purchases across November and December makes the range easier on your budget.
- Make space: figure collections and Ultra-Premium boxes are large, so plan where they will be stored or displayed.
Every Pokémon 30th anniversary box explained
Elite Trainer Box
The 30th Celebration Elite Trainer Box has 9 booster packs and a full-art foil Nidorina promo. It also includes 65 card sleeves, 16 foil Basic Energy cards, a player’s guide, 6 damage-counter dice, a coin-flip die, a plastic coin, a storage box with 6 dividers and a Pokémon TCG Live code.
Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box
The Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box has 11 packs instead of 9 and two Nidorina promos, one of them stamped with the Pokémon Center logo. The accessories are the same as the standard box. Many collectors who missed the Pokémon Center 30th anniversary pre-order window look for this edition afterwards, because it was sold only through Pokémon Center at launch.
Booster Bundle
The 30th Celebration Booster Bundle holds 6 booster packs and nothing else. It is the simplest way to open the set and chase the 30 Pikachu.

Ultra-Premium Collections (Day and Night)
The two Ultra-Premium Collections are the biggest boxes in the range. Each one includes a Pikachu ex promo by YOSHIROTTEN (a day or night version), an Espeon ex or Umbreon ex promo, a playmat, 65 sleeves, a deck box, a metal coin, 6 dice, 29 booster packs, a Classic Collection pack with three etched cards and a code card. They are the only products with a dedicated Classic Collection pack. Choose the Day edition or the Night edition.
Ditto Premium Collection
The Ditto Premium Collection has 8 packs, a Ditto promo, an acrylic display stand and a code card.
Mew and Mewtwo Figure Collections
The Mew and Mewtwo Figure Collections each include 5 packs, a sculpted figure, a foil promo and an oversize foil card. They are a favorite for display shelves.
Sylveon ex and Greninja ex boxes and tins
The Sylveon ex Box and Greninja ex Box each have 4 packs, a promo and an oversize card. The December ex Tins, Sylveon ex and Greninja ex, have 4 packs and a foil card in a collectible tin.
Espeon ex and Umbreon ex Battle Decks
The Espeon ex and Umbreon ex Battle Decks are all-foil 60-card decks with a deck box, coin and playmat. The Espeon deck includes a Victini card and the Umbreon deck a Zeraora card in an illustration-rare style.
Smaller collections
- Poster Collection: 3 packs, Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres promos and a two-sided poster.
- Tech Sticker Collections: Alolan Exeggutor or Lucario, each with 3 packs, a foil promo and a sticker sheet.
- Knock Out Collection: 2 packs, a foil Eevee promo and a coin.
- Mini Tins: 2 packs, a sticker sheet and an art card, in five day designs and five night designs.

Which Pokémon 30th anniversary box should you buy?
The right Pokémon 30th anniversary box depends on what you want:
- Most packs: an Ultra-Premium Collection, with 29 packs plus a Classic Collection pack.
- Best for opening on a budget: the Booster Bundle.
- Best all-rounder: the Elite Trainer Box, or the Pokémon Center edition if you want the stamped promo.
- Best for display: the Mew or Mewtwo Figure Collection, or the Binder Collection.
- Best small gift: a Mini Tin or the Knock Out Collection.
Where to buy: Target, GameStop and Pokémon Center
Many shoppers search for Target Pokémon 30th anniversary stock or GameStop Pokémon 30th anniversary deals. Big retailers do carry the main products, but restocks are hard to predict. The only official retailer exclusive we found for this range is the Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box; no Target, Walmart or GameStop exclusive 30th Celebration products were announced.
If you would rather not chase restocks, you can order sealed product from us. Every order is packed to protect boxes and shrink wrap in transit, and pre-orders ship as soon as stock arrives.
Release dates can change. If you have pre-ordered, keep an eye on the product page for the latest date.
