This Privacy Policy explains how Double Collectables (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses and protects your personal information when you visit doublecollectables.com, create an account, place an order or contact us. By using our store, you agree to the practices described here.

The short version

We collect only what we need to run the store: to process and ship your orders and answer your questions.
We never sell your personal information, and we don’t use advertising trackers.
Card details go straight to our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.
You can ask us to see, correct or delete your information at any time.

Information we collect

Information you give us

Account details: if you create an account, we store your name, email address, password (in encrypted form) and any addresses you save. You can also check out as a guest without an account.
Order details: when you buy something, we collect your name, billing and shipping address, email address, phone number (if you provide one), the items you order and any order notes.
Payment details: payments are handled by our payment processors, who receive your card or account details directly. We only receive confirmation of payment and limited details such as the card type and last four digits.
Messages: when you use our contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address and whatever you write. If you use live chat on our site, the chat provider processes your messages and any details you share in the chat.
Email updates: if you sign up for news or offers, we store your email address. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.

Information collected automatically

Device and usage information: like most websites, our servers log technical details such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit and when. These logs help us keep the site secure and working properly.
Cart and session data: our store uses cookies to remember the items in your cart and keep you signed in (see Cookies below).
How you found us: when you place an order, our store software records how you arrived at our site, such as the referring website or campaign link, and saves it with your order so we can understand which channels work.

How we use your information

Handle pre-orders, cancellations, returns and refunds
Manage your account and saved addresses

Who we share information with

Payment processors, to take payments and prevent fraud
Shipping carriers and postal services, to deliver your orders
Our web hosting provider, which stores our website and its data
Our email delivery service, which sends order emails and our replies to your messages
Our live chat provider (Smartsupp), if you use live chat on our site
WhatsApp (Meta), only if you choose to message us with the WhatsApp button. That conversation is handled under WhatsApp’s own privacy policy.
Google Fonts, which delivers the fonts on our site. Loading these fonts sends your IP address to Google.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a sale or transfer of our business.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use:

Essential cookies, which make the store work: your cart, checkout, sign-in and security. The store can’t work properly without them.
Order attribution cookies (names starting with sbjs_), which record how you arrived at our site so it can be saved with your order. They don’t track you across other websites.
Preference storage used by the chat buttons on our site to remember your settings.

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the store, such as the cart and checkout, may stop working.

How long we keep your information

Orders: we keep order records for as long as needed for tax and accounting purposes, generally up to seven years.
Accounts: we keep your account until you ask us to delete it.
Messages: we keep emails and contact form messages for as long as needed to deal with your request and any follow-up.
Server logs: kept for a limited time for security and troubleshooting.

When we no longer need information, we delete or anonymize it.

How we protect your information

Our site uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, access to customer data is limited to the people who need it to run the store, and payment details are handled by our payment processors rather than stored on our site. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work hard to protect your information and will notify you of a data breach where the law requires.

Your rights and choices

Correct information that is wrong or incomplete

We may need to verify your identity first, and we will respond within the time the law requires. Some information, such as order records, may have to be kept for legal reasons even if you ask us to delete it. You can also update your details and addresses yourself in My Account.

If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act) gives you the right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose; to request its deletion and correction; to opt out of its sale or sharing; and to limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not use sensitive personal information in ways that would require a right to limit. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. You may use an authorized agent to make a request for you, and we may ask for proof of their authority.

In the past 12 months we have collected these categories of personal information: identifiers (such as name, email and postal address), commercial information (such as order history), internet activity (such as pages visited) and approximate location derived from your IP address. We collect them directly from you and automatically from your device, use them for the purposes in “How we use your information”, and disclose them only to the service providers listed above.

Visitors outside the United States

Our store is operated from the United States, so your information will be processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those where you live. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your information to perform our contract with you (for example, to fulfil your order), for our legitimate interests (for example, to keep our store secure and improve our service), with your consent (for example, for marketing emails, which you can withdraw at any time) and to meet legal obligations (for example, tax record keeping). You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Children’s privacy

Our store is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you are under 18, please shop with the help of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Our site may link to other websites and services, such as WhatsApp. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, so please review their policies before sharing information with them.
